History

Understanding the indelible effect of experience at an early age, Winterline emphasizes assistance to educational programs and projects, and to primary and secondary schools. The Foundation generally targets organizations identified by its own research, but is open to consideration of program ideas put forth by others.

Winterline was founded by Mahendrajeet “Jeet” Singh, a successful entrepreneur, musician, and global citizen. Born to Indian parents in Stockholm, Sweden, Jeet has lived in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and North America. Scholar, athlete, and successful businessman, Jeet established Winterline to give back to those who helped shape his transnational view: Woodstock School and the peoples of the Himalayan region of India.

Winterline Foundation is a non-profit, private foundation supporting programs, institutions and organizations that encourage the development of individuals equipped to be citizens of the world. Winterline's Board of Directors reevaluates the focus of the Foundation every three to four years, ensuring long-term relevance and success of the programs it supports.

Established in 2001, Winterline Foundation is recognized as a tax-exempt organization by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Contributions are tax-deductible.
